Versatile telephoto focal length with high speed With a slight telephoto focal length on APS-C, the 50 mm is the compact lens for mirrorless system cameras and is versatile and particularly suitable for portrait and landscape photography. In particular, shots in low light or images with a shallow depth of field can be ideally realized thanks to its high speed - F1:1.2. With an angle of view of approx. 31°, the lens achieves images from a natural perspective. The aperture can be set from 1.2 to 16 and the focus adjustment is smooth and easy.
High-quality optics The lens has an aperture with 9 blades, which enables an almost circular opening and thus guarantees a beautiful bokeh. A particularly high-quality optical construction consisting of 9 multi-coated glass lenses achieves outstanding imaging results. In addition, 2 aspherical lenses ensure the best possible correction of chromatic aberrations. Lateral stray light and lens reflections are prevented by a lens hood, which can also be removed if required. The robust lens is internally focusing, which means that the overall length of the optics does not change. Focusing is manual.
Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor Lenses that were developed for cameras with an APS-C sensor can sometimes be used on cameras with a full-frame sensor (mainly using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the edges are black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. The use of APS-C lenses on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
