Developed for videography and photography This wide-angle lens from SAMYANG was developed for the special requirements of videographers and photographers. The aperture can be continuously adjusted from 1.3 to 16 and the focus adjustment is soft and smooth. This enables smooth focus tracking for video recordings. The aperture ring and focus ring have a gear ring and are therefore optimized for use with follow focus systems. The distance and aperture scales are arranged on the side for better legibility.
Versatile wide-angle focal length and high speed The SAMYANG 35/1.3 lens is the ideal focal length in the wide-angle range, allowing a wide range of creative filming and photography options. The lens is particularly suitable for reportage photography. It has a focal length of 35 mm. The outstanding speed of 1:1.3 enables excellent images even in less favorable lighting conditions.
High-quality workmanship The lens has a high-quality design. The metal housing is very robust and impresses with its elegant appearance. The glass lenses of the lens are coated and therefore provide an excellent contrast and sharpness range as well as a balanced color balance. The particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensure optimum image results. The lens hood prevents stray light and lens reflections from entering from the side.
Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor Lenses that were developed for cameras with an APS-C sensor can sometimes be used on cameras with a full-frame sensor (mainly using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the edges are black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. The use of APS-C lenses on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
